Kolb (1984) states that experiential learning is a continuous cyclical process. It is important, as a mentor, to ensure that the mentee goes through all of these stages in order to get the most from the various learning opportunities. This helps the mentee to move out of his/her comfort zone, widen the experience and gain confidence in dealing with these situations.
