What Is The Difference Between Monitoring, Reviewing And Evaluation?

MONITORING is:

Checking on a regular basis the actual performance/development of the mentee against the agreed targets set.

REVIEWING is:

Reflecting on performance/development over a period of time (longer than the monitoring period) identifying areas of strength and need for improvement. It also involves stating and agreeing the next course of action.

EVALUATION is:

Measuring and identifying the worth of the programme undertaken. This will help in indicating any strengths and improvement areas needed for future implementation of the programme. Success criteria need to be established and also what sources of information will be gathered for this must be in place before any implementation is undertaken.
